Currently in Crisis?

Counseling is valuable and accessible.

I accept United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Oscar Health, and Oxford Health. For private pay clients, fees per session are based on income and other financial circumstances. The standard fee for the first comprehensive session is $120 and the fee for a standard 50-minute session is $100.  I will work diligently to meet the needs of community members who require assistance to afford counseling. Assistance with negotiated sliding scale fees can always be discussed during a free 15-minute consultation session. I also honor Open Path Collective negotiated fees when slots become available.

Mission Statement

I believe my life is defined by hope and I endeavor to use this strength to inspire and encourage others. I believe communication is the essence of my work as a counselor and a writer, and I respect the integrity, healing power, and beauty of the spoken and written word. I will use my words as I live my life---genuinely and judiciously. I will challenge myself to accept my failures and successes with equal grace and to err always on the side of compassion.

Nature Photography

All nature photography on this site is by Michelle Ghorbanian. Michelle is a native of Orlando, Florida, where she received a degree in Creative Art from Rollins College and a master’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Central Florida. Searching for a way to unwind from her professional communications job, Michelle turned to photography as a way to combine her passion for creative expression with her love of nature.

Exploring the many trails, wetlands, woods and shorelines near Central Florida, Michelle strives to capture the beauty of nature in its many forms. From the tender moment of a sandhill crane feeding its colt, to gentle waves washing up on a warm beach, she enjoys recording scenes of the vibrant area she calls home.

“There’s nothing better for the soul than a walk in nature. Connecting with the bigger world around me helps me clear my mind and realize that even on a bad day, beauty surrounds us, if we only open our eyes and look for it. I hope my images inspire others to get outdoors, take a hike or sit in the woods in solitude. You will be amazed at what you discover about nature, and about yourself.  The only way we can make the world a better place is to appreciate all that it offers.”
